Daniel Gill

Daniel Gill was born and raised in London, studied at Central Saint Martin’s where he graduated with 1st Class Honours Bachelors Degree (2008) and was shortlisted for a New Blood Award with D&AD for his final student film. It was during this time, that his love for Stop Motion Animation developed.
After graduating, Daniel began working on Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox and soon became an established Character Animator on international feature films including Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, Charlie Kaufman’s Anomalisa, Claude Barras’s Ma Vie de Courgette, Laika’s Kubo and the Two Strings, Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs and Aardman’s Farmegeddon, Robin Robin.
Daniel has worked on award winning advertising campaigns for many high profile clients including McDonalds, Adidas, Toyota, John Lewis’ annual Christmas advert and the BBC.
He has worked on a number of TV shows for Hulu, HBO and Netflix.
In 2021 Daniel won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for his work on Netflix’s Love Death and Robots anthology series. He is currently working on Laika’s upcoming feature Wildwood in Portland, Oregon.
