Let’s take a look at the history of Polish animation – from the 1940s to the present! This café meeting at 20 Taczaka Street will focus on books dedicated to the most renowned Polish animated film studios. Guests include Ewa Ciszewska PhD and Szymon Szul, co-authors of „Społeczne Światy” from the Studio Małych Form Filmowych „Se-Ma-For” in Łódź, and Patryk Oczko PhD, author of „Nie tylko dla dzieci. Studio Filmów Rysunkowych w Bielsku-Białej 1947–2021”. While working on their books, the authors delved into archives, conducted interviews, analyzed studio styles, and offered a sociological perspective on the production hubs. The meeting will be hosted by Animator IAFF’s Artistic Director, Adriana Prodeus.
