FANTASTIC MR. FOX
Wes Anderson
2009 / 87’ / USA
The film is an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children book. Mr. and Mrs. Fox lead a peaceful life. They bring up their son – Asha, they enjoy the company of their nephew – Kristofferson. However, after twelve years of stable life, quite unexpectedly animal instincts awake in Mr. Fox’s mind. He returns to his old habits: he sneaks up to farms and preys on chickens. Because of that he puts under risk his own, his family’s and other animals’ lives. To make things worse, three bad farmers: Boggis, Bunce and Bean decide to catch Mr. Fox. The animals want to oppose them. The film boasts a specific sense of humor, well-written dialogues and existential absurdity.
