The Polish Competition showcases the work of both well-known and respected Polish Animators and also new talented individuals in the industry.
The selection committee for the Polish Competition in the 17th edition of Animator is:
IZUMI YOSHIDA - animator, director, graduate of the PWSFTviT in Łódź. Since 2017 she has been a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Her debut "Kinki", which was nominated at many festivals, won numerous awards including at Split Film Festival in Croatia and at Animator Festival in Poland. As of 2019, she is a PISF expert in animation. Her latest film "Most" won the Audience Award at the ANIMATOR 2022 Festival.
MICHAŁ MRÓZ - director, animator, graphic designer, historian and promoter of animated film. Author of short original animations, for which he has won a total of more than fifty awards at film festivals in Poland and abroad. He has presented his works at festivals in Los Angeles, Toronto, Malmö, Belgrade, Sofia, Wrocław, Gdynia, among others.
Graduate of film studies at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Co-owner of the Kultura gniewu publishing house, which releases comics by the best contemporary Polish and foreign artists. For nearly 10 years he was associated with Gutek Film. Member of the selection committee of the animation-focused Cartoon Movie festival in Lyon. He worked at the Human Ark animation studio, where he managed the production of the children's series Kacperiada. Script consultant for the TV series "Jak zostałem Superłotrem", directed by Krzysztof Ostrowski, or "Bajka na końcu świata", directed by Marcin Podolec and Kacper Zamarło.
