Marc Silk, the voice of Johnny Bravo and Scooby-Doo, joins the lineup of special guests at the 19th Animator International Animated Film Festival!
Who among you fell under the spell of Johnny Bravo’s voice? Who was entertained by Scooby-Doo? Or perhaps you’ve wondered who’s behind the sounds of Chicken Run and Senator Aks Moe from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace? All these characters were voiced by Marc Silk, who will be joining this year’s edition of Animator! During the festival, he will host dubbing workshops and present films that have made him a favorite with audiences worldwide.
Marc Silk is one of the most renowned British voice actors. He collaborated with George Lucas on Star Wars: Episode I, where he voiced Senator Aks Moe. He is best known as the voice of Johnny Bravo for Cartoon Network UK, as well as Bob the Builder in the United States and Canada.
His credits include the BAFTA-nominated BBC series Go Jetters, as well as Thunderbirds Are Go, The Pingu Show, Roary the Racing Car, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has voiced numerous characters in the Emmy-nominated Strange Hill High and the legendary BBC series Danger Mouse. His work also includes LEGO City and 7 Bears, available on Netflix, as well as Milo, which won Best Children’s Series at the British Animation Awards.
Marc Silk can also be heard in video games. He is the narrator of the acclaimed Harry Potter game series and brings a wide range of characters to life in Labyrinth as well as in the cult classic Lionhead game Black & White. He has also hosted Symphonic Star Wars at the Royal Albert Hall and is a regular special guest at Comic Cons and gaming events. Beyond his acting career, he serves as an ambassador for The Brain Tumour Charity.
