The SEARCHING FOR YOURSELF open call concluded on February 7th with over a 100 submissions! Thank you!
In response to our OPEN CALL for short animated films inspired by the tagline SEARCHING FOR YOURSELF we've received an astonishing 115 submissions! Animated reflections on finding oneself reached from Korea, Switzerland, Colombia, China, France, Taiwan, Canada, Austria, Greece, Izrael, Australia, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Great Britain, USA, Jordan, Ukraine, South Africa, the Philippines, Georgia, Ecuador, Tunisia, Czech Republic, Brazil, and Portugal.
In most of the submitted films the creators strive to explore and confront issues such as loneliness, ostracism or fears, as well as work through various traumas.
The animated interpretations of the SEARCHING FOR YOURSELF tagline were submitted not only by students and young debutants, but also well-known and more experienced directors and animators from all over the World - even some responsible for your favourite Hulu and Adult Swim animated projects, often awarded in previous editions of the Festival.
We can also reveal that through their open call submission we've discovered the person who shall be responsible for creating the trailer for the 16th edition on the International Animated Film Festival ANIMATOR! There will be more details coming your way soon, but not quite yet.
Thank you so very much for your enthusiastic response and we shall see you soon!
