Polish Animated Film Competition (ANIMATOR.PL until 2022)
The Polish Animated Film Competition was launched in 2018. Its first edition was prepared in co-operation with the Polish Filmmakers Association and the Film Miniature Studio.
The films selected for screening offer viewers a unique opportunity to get acquainted with new achievements of domestic animation and get to know Polish animators. We present a wide range of the latest productions of both established artists and talented debutants.
Previous editions of the Polish Competition saw animated productions appreciated by international audiences all over the world, such as "The Rain" (by Piotr Milczarek), "Portrait of Suzanne" (by Izabela Plucińska), "Acid Rain" (by Tomek Popakul) and "Pussy" (by Renata Gąsiorowska).
Within the Polish Animated Films Competition, the Jury awards the following prizes:
• Best Polish Short Film Award – Grand Prix of the Polish Competition – Golden Animusz / PLN 15,000 gross – awarded to the director of the film,
• Special Award – Discovery of Polish Animation / PLN 3,000 gross – awarded to the director of the film.
Audience Award for the Best Polish Animated Film is also presented in the competition.
