What’s Behind the Poster of the 18th Animator Festival?

The slogan of the 18th edition — "ROTAMINA: Chemistry in Us" — leads us toward intimate stories and tender imagery. The new visual identity of the Animator Festival, created by Fromsquare, draws from Immature by Eddy Wu, a film featured in this year’s Open Call.

Delicacy, humanity, and reflection — these three words best describe the aesthetic of this year’s visual identity. Its source lies in the frames of Immature, an animation by Eddy Wu that explores gender identity and embodiment with extraordinary sensitivity.

"Immature opened up an emotional space I didn’t expect. It felt like holding someone else’s vulnerability in my hands, something precious, fragile, and full of quiet strength. It taught me to listen between the words, to let softness guide the creative process. More than a film, it became a liminal space, a tender in-between, offering reflections on authenticity, transformation, and the invisible threads that quietly bind us together"

Immature will be presented as part of the ROTAMINA: Chemistry in Us Open Call, in which artists shared their interpretations of this year’s theme. This section is known for its innovative and bold forms of storytelling — visually, socially, and emotionally.
