The call for films and series for next year's competitions of the 18th International Animated Film Festival Animator 2025 has been launched!
We’re excited to announce that the call for films and series for next year’s festival is now live! This includes the International Short Film Competition, where the Grand Prix winner is fast-tracked for an Oscar® nomination.
Join us in Poznań, Poland, from June 28 to July 6, 2025, for the 18th edition of the Animator International Animated Film Festival featuring the International Short Film Competition, International Feature Film Competition, International Animated Series Competition, and Polish Animated Film Competition.
We are accepting entries of films and series until JANUARY 27, 2025. Free applications (for all competitions!) should be submitted to:

COMPETITIONS AND CATEGORIES:
International Short Film Competition

GRAND PRIX of the Short Film Competition of the ANIMATOR 2024 Festival.
- runtime: up to 30 minutes;
- creation date: after December 31, 2022;
- animation technique: any (no less than 51% of the film must be animated);
- submissions by art schools, film schools, production companies, film institutions, individual filmmakers or other rights holders;
- Grand Prize: Golden Pegasus (45,000 PLN), Second Prize: Silver Pegasus (12,000 PLN), Third Prize: Bronze Pegasus (6,000 PLN), Wojciech Juszczak Award for Music Film or Music in Film (2,000 PLN), Marcin Giżycki Award for Best Student Film (2,000 PLN);
- the film that wins the Golden Pegasus will also be fast-tracked for an Oscar® nomination in the Best Animated Short Film category, making it easier to compete for this prestigious award from the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
- please note that films from previous editions of the Animator competition, as well as series, trailers, commercials, and opening sequences, are not eligible.

Polish Animated Film Competition

GRAND PRIX of the Polish Competition of the ANIMATOR 2024 Festival
- Films produced in Poland or made by Polish filmmakers abroad, with co-production participation of Polish producers;
- runtime: up to 30 minutes;
- creation date: after December 31, 2022;
- animation technique: any (no less than 51% of the film must be animated);
- submissions by art schools, film schools, production companies, film institutions, individual filmmakers or other rights holders;
- Award for Best Polish Short Film, i.e. Grand Prix of the Polish Competition - Golden Animusz (12,000 PLN), 2nd Prize - Silver Animusz (4,000 PLN), 3rd Prize - Bronze Animusz (2,000 PLN);
- please note that films from previous editions of the Animator competition, as well as series, trailers, commercials, and opening sequences, are not eligible for the Polish competition.

International Feature Film Competition

- animation technique: any (no less than 51% of the film must be animated);

- Best Feature Film Award (30,000 PLN);

International Animated Series Competition

- single episodes of TV and web series (including pilot and special episodes, mini-series and TV movies);
- short films, trailers, commercials and opening sequences are not eligible for the series competition;
- creation date: after December 31, 2022;
- animation technique: any (no less than 51% of the film must be animated);
- submissions by film distributors, production companies, film institutions, individual filmmakers or other rights holders;
- Best Animated Series Award (5,000 PLN);
