Sara Gunnarsdóttir will visit Poznan this June as a Jury Member of the 16th ANIMATOR Festival!
Probably the most punk creator in the history of animation!
Sara is a director and animator, based and working in Reykjavik. She conquered the hearts of wider audience with "My Year of Dicks", for which she was nominated for an Oscar in the Animated Short Film category. The project was also awarded during the 15th edition of the IAFF ANIMATOR, with the Grand Prix of the International Animated Series Competition. The Jury consisting of Carolina Lopez Caballero, Hisko Hulsing and Marc Roels recognized Sara's work as:

Sara Gunnarsdóttir will visit us in Poznan during this year's edition of ANIMATOR Festival.
The Iceland-based animator had her professional debut in a Marielle Heller film "The Diary of a Teenage Girl". She co-created, as animation director, the Emmy-nominated HBO series “The Case Against Adnan Sayed” - a four-part documentary by Amy Berg, covering the murder of Hae Min Lee.
Gunnarsdóttir is a graduate of Experimental Animation at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Her works were screened and awarded during film festivals all over the world, including New Directors / New Films, AFI Fest, SXSW, Annecy and the Telluride Film Festival.
She is also a member of the icelandic electro punk band Donna Mess.
