An original dialogue between sound and image created by the Polish alternative artist. The event is an audiovisual attempt to capture identity in a world dominated by overstimulation and digital emptiness. The title “Bez odbioru” – No Signal - refers to the lack of connection between people, expressed through glitch aesthetics, film grain, and black-and-white aesthetics
The program features key tracks from Jakub Skorupa’s two studio albums combined with screenings of original 2D animations and motion design. The animations are not merely a backdrop to the concert, but an integral part of its dramaturgy. Every pixel movement is synchronized with the narrative of the songs and the energy of the five-person live band. During ”Bez odbioru”, the stage transforms into a dark space resembling a video sculpture. The band performs surrounded by a constellation of computer monitors acting as “digital mirrors.”
Jakub Skorupa is an interdisciplinary artist who moves fluidly between words, sound, and moving image. His journey led from working in a London corporation to becoming one of the leading voices of the Polish alternative scene (earning distinctions such as Polityka’s Ablum Roku and Odkrycie Empiku awards). Alongside his musical success, he has built a strong reputation in video art. His animated short film “Frank O’Hara – Mayakovsky” received broad recognition on the international festival circuit, appearing in official selections in cities including Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and London.
