Do you love music? Do you create music videos? The Open Call for the 19th edition of the Animator Festival is now open!
The Animator Festival has always celebrated music and its unique connection with animated film. After all is there anything better than combining great sound with outstanding visuals? We don’t think so!
That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the open call for the 19th edition of the International Animated Film Festival ANIMATOR 2026, taking place July 4-12, 2026, in Poznań, Poland.
This festival section is dedicated to artists who merge music and animation, experimenting with rhythm, imagery, and emotion. We’re looking for works where sound becomes a spark for visual explosions, and image transforms into a new musical instrument.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We invite creators from all over the world to submit their works to the Thematic Competition for Animated Music Videos. You can submit short animated music videos created in any animation technique (at least 51% of the film must consist of animation) with a duration of up to 20 minutes.
Submission is free of charge.
There are no restrictions on the year of production - both classic clips from the 1980s and 1990s and contemporary works from the 21st century are welcome.
Each film must be submitted in Full HD (1920x1080) in MP4 or MOV format and include: three stills from the film, a synopsis (up to 1,000 characters), a director’s biography (500–1,000 characters), a director’s photo (minimum 300 dpi), and the song lyrics/dialogues in English (SRT file).

AWARDS
A jury will select the music videos to be screened as part of the ANIMATOR 2026 Competition.
The winner will receive a main prize of €1,250 (gross). The jury may also award additional, non-statutory special mentions.
Selected videos will also be shown after the festival as part of the special touring program “ANIMATOR ON TOUR 2026” across Poland.
