"Disc+Dog" is a choreographically executed animation film dealing with the subject of ostracism. It was inspired by a social psychological experiment, the so called ‘cyberball game’. The original inventor (Kipling D. Williams) declares that the idea came from a failed frisbee game during a dog walk. It is visually strikingly simple yet very effective in the procedure to manipulate the degree of social inclusion and emotional distress. I wanted the audience to enter this type of social situation through the eyes of dogs in an abstract space, using the dynamics of geometry.
