We have the full schedule of the 12th IAFF ANIMATOR

The Oscar® qualifier event, 12th International Animated Film Festival ANIMATOR launches on July 5th in Poznań. It is one of the major events in Europe devoted to animation, recognized by the jubilee award by the Polish Film Institute.

As part of the 12th edition of the Animator festival, we will present over 300 films from all over the World. The international contest will see 46 short films competing for the Grand Prix - the Golden Pegasus. These were picked from over 1000 submissions from 64 countries, including exotic countries like Costa Rica, Cuba, Kuwait. Macau or Martinique. We would also invite you to the second edition of the Polish Animated Film Contest ANIMATOR.PL. It’s an excellent opportunity to see the newest developments by Polish artists.

We will be visited by Tim Allen, a British stop-motion artist, who worked on, among others, "Gnijąca Panna Młoda" by Tim Burton, "Baranek Shaun", or "Wyspa psów" by Wes Anderson. Our Animated Series cycle will showcase, among others Rick & Morty on the big screen.

The main festival program features: Animation as a Statement - a cycle featuring a Janet Perlman retrospective, a section devoted to non-fiction animation as well as a special show Women Have a Voice.

Animator 2019 also hosts Animation from Norway, Animation and VR as well as Animator PRO - a comprehensive thematic block for professionals. We also recommend animated series and a program of special events, including concerts, silent disco, as well as the brand new - silent cinema. We also take part in the 40th anniversary celebration of the Department of Animation at the Poznań Academy of Fine Arts. For our youngest audiences, we recommend ANIMATOR FOR CHILDREN, where they will be able to make their first animated film.

The sale of festival tickets launches on Monday, 17.06., at high noon.

Tickets are available at the Kino Muza ticket office, Centrum Kultury Zamek and at www.bilety24.pl.
